What a day! We traveled down the Welland canal and visited Niagara Falls. Both were pretty amazing. Niagara Falls is certainly a site everyone should visit. My parents saw the falls on their honeymoon. We docked in Youngstown, NY at the town dock after the traveling through the canal (from what we've heard 5 hours through the canal was really the best you can expect). The wind was howling and there was quite a current on the Niagara river. There was a 'Jet Boat' excursion right next to the dock. Russ talked to them and got us a ride to the Falls around 6:00PM.

We were dropped at the national park. It was obviously touristy but once you got to the falls there was no embellishment. It was truly amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. I would highly recommend seeing them if you ever travel to northern New York. The force of the water going over the various cliffs and the sound generated made me glad I was hearing it from land and not on the boat. Mother nature is the ultimate in power and shows herself in all her glory at the falls. We had a great time walking to the various islands and seeing the different falls. It was a cab ride back to the boat. It was a busy and very satisfying day. Going through the canal to get over the falls was a pretty epic day for the Uproar boat.
