We're Off!

This morning found us looking at the pile of "critical" things we still had to pack, while looking out into the garage at an already full Jeep. Deep breath - and, suddenly little spaces started to open up. Soon, without much grumbling the Jeep was packed, and it was time to begin our next cruising season.
The weather in Portland was foggy, and stayed that way until about Eugene, then the sun came out and we had a lovely ride. Nice lunch at the old Wolf Creek Inn, and then the final push to Susanville. We made about 500 miles today. We're staying at a nice, clean motel and had a decent dinner at the Black Bear Restaurant next door. Jeff is still coughing his head off, but is in good spirits after his shower and nightcap.
We hope to be up around 6am for breakfast, a quick shower and then the next 550 mile to Las Vegas. Sure hope the weather cooperates as well as it did today! The forcast was for 6" of snow in the area we drove through on dry pavement!
Later,
Jeff & Janieh
