We were nervous about crossing the border into Mexico and declaring the stuff we were bringing in, but thankfully our paperwork seemed to be in order and after a few minutes the guy said go ahead, no duty. We asked him if he needed to stamp the paperwork or sign off on it or anything and he said no, just go. He never left his office and didn't even glance at the Jeep. At the next stop Jeff thought we needed to stop again, but I said I didn't think so, it looked just like the one we had been to right across the border, same signs, etc. So we just kept going. Got a green light and got outta there!

Our FM3, of course, was a different matter. After paying $400 last May to have it renewed early, at the border we were informed that the paperwork we had ment nothing. They gave us a permit and told us we had to renew it once we arrived here. So, today I have an appointment to see what has to be done, and how much more money want to make us legal. What a PAIN! I will push back if they insist on more money!

The duplex is good, we're in the same side as always which is nice because we have the driveway. Jeff gave a boat an initial hosing yesterday while Fran and I went to the new Walmart in Guaymas. Pretty nice store and much nicer than going into town to Ley's, especially with me driving! The boat was filthy, much dustier than last year, and the storage shed was fine, just lots of dust. Jeff & Ed begin working inside today to get the bedlogs put back together and the engine in.

Today I have a big pot of Mexican Chicken Soup on the stove and the place smells wonderful. I also have the air conditioner running because it's 84 degrees outside. Beautiful, clean, sunny weather.
