Scuba Certs

06 October 2009 | San Diego
Rick/ Clear and Calm
We had an idea or I did that if while cruising we had to go under and clear the fouled rudder or prop. Or make some repair out in the middle of somewhere. A snorkle won't make it. So we (I) decide that we needed to get scuba Certified. We have now gotten the written tests, all pool dives and two open ocean dives out of the way. Two more ocean dives and one more thing off my list.

Sailing has been great lately some good wind and very calm seas. Very relaxing and helps in the teaching of Mary with the fundamentals. She is getting the hang of it. Almost know what line pull at the right time. Four years we maybe ready to go.

Vessel Name: Gone With The Wind
Vessel Make/Model: 36 Hunter Vision
Hailing Port: San Diego, CA USA
Crew: Rick and Mary
About:
Mary is always ready for an adventure I throw at her. As we try this we will enjoy every trip we can do. My bother Russ is the experience. He is the one with all the knowledge that keeps the right perspective to keep the even keel we need. [...]
Extra: I want to get a good trip put together as we learn the cruising in and outs on the West Coast. Give us some idea's when you get a chance. Hopefully Mexico and further north of San Diego / Los Angeles are soon on the Horizon.
