Peaceful Day on the Bay

16 September 2009 | Chesapeake Bay
Because Jim & I had company this weekend we didn't get any boating time in until Sunday, but what a day!

There is something so peaceful and relaxing about being on the water. This afternoon we tood Two Sheets out for a leisurely sail. With the wind gently pushing us at 6 knots, the boat rocking slightly side to lside, the sun glittering on the water like thousands of shards of glass, we let the built up stress of the world quickly slip away. "Aaaagghhh" you inhale; "Mmmmhhm" you exhale. Not another soul in sight or sound to impinge on your peace. The only sound . . . the wind filling the sails and the boat slipping through the water. Does life get any better than this? No! Truly we are abundantly and extravagently blessed!
