Stuff here is old. Boat show preparations underway
01 October 2017 | Annapolis
Sunny and cool with a light north wind.
This morning I watched a Leopard 46 catamaran motor right by me. That is the type of boat my brother Mark has down in Florida. My boat with the solar panel arch and Jerry jugs on the side fits right in here. The boat next to me has a narrow cockpit like mine. He took off his steering wheel and mounted it on the side to make more space in the cockpit. I thought it was a great idea and will now do the same when I am staying in one spot for more than a day.
I went to mass this morning. The church traces it roots back to one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Many streets and sidewalks here are brick, and the streets can be narrow. You don’t see this in the Midwest.
Preparations for the boat show have begun. Tents are going up, new floating docks are being installed, and many slips and mooring balls had to be vacated, as did the dinghy dock we were using. It is a major disruption and undertaking to be sure. I will try to post pictures.
It hasn’t rained in so long, it is easy to forget about any leak issues. But Roger was over on my boat helping me rebed some bow pulpit bolts and tighten other stanchion bolts. Hopefully my old leak on the shelf by my bed is fixed and I didn’t cause any new leaks.
