Lazy Sunday. See you next Wednesday in St Augustine.
05 November 2017 | Fort George Island Marina
Cloudy and a bit cool.
I needed some downtime, so I didn’t do much today. I watched a football game - a treat for me who doesn’t normally watch TV. I used that time to do my monthly financial update and bill paying. I ordered some more fuel filters which I will pick up at the West Marine store in St Augustine.
Someone came to the marina to arrange to store their fishing boat there for several months over the winter. They were from Lake Erie. They wanted to do some ocean fishing.
I expect to have more ambition these next two days, now that my tooth appears to be slowly getting better. The boat needs cleaning, oil needs changing, and the fridge needs defrosting and the seals around the door replaced. When I fill the starboard water tank, I might check for leaks. It only leaked when it was full, then stopped after that.
The new shroud, we hope, will be here in time to install Wednesday morning before I leave. I will find that out Monday morning. Some parts of the old shroud fittings seemed undersized to the rigger, or the wrong size, so that will all be corrected.
My next post will be from St Augustine Wednesday evening.
