Back in Titusville. Murphy’s law.
21 December 2017 | Titusville Municipal Marina
Started out cloudy. Sunny afternoon near 80.
Pulled up anchor this morning all ready to do battle with the mud. Bucket of water- check. Brush on extension pole - check. Mud - no show. I was okay with that. However, the anchor locker drain was still clogged with mud from last time. It turns out a toilet bowl plunger has more than one use ... once I finally remembered I had a small one on the boat.
After anchoring out the past two weeks, the plan was to get the holding tank emptied before I left the boat for another ten days. The pump out boat came around yesterday and the dock pump out that I was counting on will be back in operation tomorrow after I leave. But no pump out the one day I needed it.
Here I am back in Titusville in the same slip so I can be home for the holidays. Pete will take me to the airport tomorrow. Sue has had a really rough week - her mother’s funeral was yesterday and there were many out of town guests. And despite all that, today she was working on getting me to the airport. Pretty special.
Tomorrow it is back to cold, hard reality ... weather wise.
