Seeing sharks

29 January 2018 | Bimini Big Game Club Resort and Marina
Partly sunny. Warm.
Lazy days both yesterday and today, with some pool time involved. I did some work on the boat, cleaning some of the wood down below, of which there is a lot. I also worked on laundry both days using a bucket. Interesting, but I wouldn’t drag your washer and dryer out to the curb just yet.

Roger got his propane for cooking refilled and thought he scored a fish dinner for tonight at a great price. But that didn’t happen, so everyone scrambled to quickly come up with other food when no one showed up at the promised time with food.

Keith and Lyn sheared their three dogs. That was a project and not good for Lyn’s back. While that was going on, Roger brought over his water maker and mostly filled Kristtaney’s water tank. I grabbed two buckets worth, which is what I make - but it takes me two hours. Roger filled them in 10 minutes.

Two boats came in today, as the wind was lighter and from the south, not north. That will change tonight. One boat from here left, but didn’t get far before returning.

The fun for the day was retrieving a towel from the bottom. The water is clear, so you can see to the bottom 12’ below. Keith has a grappling hook as an anchor for his dinghy. When he thought to use that, they were finally able to retrieve the towel. It was Tari’s towel, so giving up was not an option for Roger.

There is no swimming in the marina, even though the water is clear and warm enough. We saw the reason tonight. Two or three good sized sharks were swimming around, keeping folks entertained at the wall as they watched.
