Shark cage and new friends
30 January 2018 | Bimini Big Game Club Resort and Marina
Sunny, windy and cooler. 70’s
Roger found an interesting diving business at the end of the marina. They would feed the Bull sharks and one could be in an underwater cage and watch the sharks close by. They fed the sharks by throwing fish into the water. They threw them into the water hard enough to make a splash so the sharks knew to look for another fish. The birds would keep an eye out for a chance to grab an unnoticed fish where possible. This was risky, so they did it cautiously.
The wind is up and so is the surf on the ocean side of the island.
Jerry, Rhonda, and son Tim joined us for appetizers on Paradise Hunter. They are on the boat in front of me, with two small dogs. The four boats may all leave together when the weather stops being so nasty - maybe this weekend or Monday.
Today was boat project day. Roger and Keith installed USB charging ports in their cockpits (iPads made them do it). Keith did a few more projects. I was inspired to work on my deckwash issue. I pulled out the old lamp cord wire (I was calling it speaker wire), and connected good wire to the wire coming from the pump. I touched the bare end of the new wire to my battery posts, but was greeted with silence. Not even a spark. The next step is to verify that there is power all the way to the pump and that the fuse there is working. The fuse itself looks good. There are three pumps on the boat and I have spares for two of them. You can probably guess which spare I don’t have.
