Sailing into San Diego Harbor yesterday evening, we dropped sails at buoy 15 and motored into the slip I had reserved at the Harbor Police Guest Docks. Friends had recommended the police guest docks, and at $1/foot/day, they are the cheapest guest slips in San Diego.

Then mutiny on S/V Ubiquity! Although the docks were good, the otherwise spartan accommodations, such as the rest rooms, did not satisfy my crew. Dinner at the neighboring, posh, Kona Kai Resort did not still the unrest.

So this morning I went in search of more lavish accommodations, and we moved S/V Ubiquity to the Bay Club Hotel and Marina. The amenities here have upped the spirits of everyone, including the captain, as I now have access to an exercise room.
