Coco Loco Cabin Interior

No, we didn't take the boat to Costa Rica, but we did take 2 water taxis and 2 shuttle vans. It only took about 3.5 hours total including the border check-ins and walking across 'the bridge'. After 3 years, the border bridge hasn't been updated at all and is just as freaky.
Anyway, we had a wonderful time in this small seaside town. Although there were many foreign faces, the town does not have the frantic tourist feel. It is laid back and tropical and very friendly. The Coco Loco Lodge is a small hotel at the edge of town with roosters and howler monkeys making their calls each morning. We had our own small thatched-roof cabin with hammock on the porch, TV, Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, coffee maker, shower with hot water, a double bed (and twin) with mosquito netting. It was very clean and comfortable at $41 cash each night. There are lots of restaurants to choose from that offer great food however a little expensive for CA (about $10-15 pp). Being a bird- and critter-watcher, Bryan was in heaven.
