Below are pictures from the first day of the Florida Intercoastal trip. We left Jacksonville around 7:15am and arrived in Daytona around 11p.m. It was a very long day.

Well I recently was offered a new job in sunny Miami. This will allow me the opportunity to take a dream trip along Florida's east coast when I move the boat. Should be a good time and I will be sure to keep the blog updated with pictures.

My parents and sister were in town for Christmas, so we took the boat our for some light sailing on Christmas Day...light winds but overall a great time.

Welcome to my sailing blog. The purpose of this blog is to keep track of my sailing adventures and guests who come out for the experience. Recently, I became a boat owner for the first time. It's been a dream and I made it happen. She is a 1981 Catalina 25, Standard Rig with a Swing Keel. This allows her to manage medium fixed bridges (35' clearance) and explore shallow water (2'8'' draft with keel raised) -- Perfect for Florida. Below is a picture of her maiden voyage over to Whitey's Fish Camp at the western end of Doctor's Lake in Jacksonville, FL.
