Latest boat built by Captain Underpants

08 January 2020
Bill and Linda Anderson

Clarety the Argie15 plywood sailing dinghy Captain Underpants built to teach the grandkids to sail . She was launched on the Clarence river in Iluka, NSW. First trip with Joe, Tahlia and Annika. Second trip with Uncle Anthony and Geordi.
All went well..... then trip number 3 with the Captain and Linda was aborted after the first ever capsize in 43 years sailing together! Linda untangled herself from the rigging, rescued the oars while the captain stood on the centre board. With the help of Anthony Clarety was upright again but full of water which was bailed out once ashore. Funnily enough the kids were too busy playing to notice the capsize!

My Bluff Beach paintings

I love Bluff Beach, Iluka NSW. It’s my favourite place to ride my bicycle to with my art bag. I usually sit under the pandanus tree and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this special place. The recent bushfires have thankfully left this little piece of paradise untouched. These paintings are now for sale at the Iluka Emporium, a not for profit association housing an eclectic collection from local artists. I have been a member for 3 years and it’s my happy place. 61 Charles St, Iluka. I’m often volunteering there so pop in and say hi if you are in the area. My books are for sale here too! #ilukaemporium Iluka Emporium Website.

Happy 42 year anniversary to us!

Bill and Linda Anderson
While fires are burning everywhere as well as so close to our place in Iluka today, we celebrate 42 years of marriage and adventures. We are lucky to have our boat in Mooloolaba and our mountain hideaway. Hoping for lots of rain soon. It’s so dry everywhere.
