Creative Beneteau Logo

Again, in an attempt to remove the 1985 blue,,,,,, we spent days heating, stripping, and sanding off the factory stripes and even topping/gelcoat in some spots. I ran into all sorts of ugly things under there and in the end decided to buy vinyl striping from a local detailer. I then found a man in the UK that can create anything in vinyl including Beneteau Logos, and even the horses. The boat bears a strong resemblance to the new Cabo Rico and I am growing tired of telling every fourth person on the dock that it's a Beneteau Idylle. No one knows anything about the Idylle Series, so when I removed the logo from the hull I decided not to replace it. It's on the title. We taped out the pattern of the stripe we wanted, and applied the vinyl in small sections after spraying the area with Windex and squegee'n it out. We then lightly cut the tape edge with a razor knife and peeled off the masking tape and the waste vinyl. It was 92 deg (its always 92 deg) , which cased us to invest in a white tarp. It came out good and has held up to scrubbing and the incessant Florida UV Rays.
