New ceiling in the V-berth

Most of the cabin is covered with a factory insulated vinyl, like most Beneteau's. The V-berth had been replaced with a homemade attempt to duplicate the original. As you can see from the before photo, it did not.
I tore it out, sealed all of the exposed glass, and installed contoured bamboo rails to provide a surface to screw into without damaging the fiberglass. I bonded them to the ceiling with 3m-5200.
After adding foil bubble insulation, I screwed the new ceiling in and started creating a hatch extension from solid cherry and wenge. I reinstalled the black-walnut from the original ceiling to the bulkhead and even created a removable piece to access the wiring block, at the base of the mast.
