Kanal Sv. Ante is a very narrow channel that leads from the sea up to Sibenik. For very large vessels the channel is controlled by signals and as a yacht you have to watch out for them as Sibenik is a large commercial port. Two vertical greens mean that there is nothing in the channel and two vertical red lights mean there is a large vessel in the channel and a yacht would need to give way and be careful as it is very narrow and shallow at the banks. Once through the channel the harbour opens out into a huge area with many yachts racing around the buoys.

The reason for us coming here was to go up the Fjord as far as Skardin and then go to the Krka Falls.

The Fjord is 8 nm from Sibenik to Skardin and it is lined by mussel and oyster farms. There are two large bridges to go under but they have plenty of headroom for yachts.
