The anchorage at Katakolon is very large and so sheltered. We had a very comfortable night. It is fairly shallow, meaning less than 4 metres quite a long way out from the shore so you can't get too close but still plenty of room. This is now our 10th day at anchor so we need to make the next stop for water and to top up the batteries from shore power.

We set the anchor in 4.8 metres of water initially and took the bearings. About an hour later we took the bearings again as we felt we had drifted back. It was quite windy at 25 knots. And yes, one of our bearings was out by quite a few degrees so we took up the anchor and re-set it. This was much better and according to our anchor watch programme we only moved round according to the change in wind direction as to be expected.
