Palarios, Mainland Greece
22 July 2019 | Palairos, Mainland Greece
After spending several days at anchor in Vlikho, in fact the longest time we have spent in one anchorage on consecutuve days, we decided to cross the bay (from Nidri) to take a look at Palarios. The original planning was if we needed water or shore power by now, when the charter boats are out you can usually get a place in the harbour. However as we needed neither we decided to go anyway and check out the anchorage. It was a huge bay and only two other boats there when we arrived. Three more joined us in the evening but still lots of room. We anchored well off the harbour in a 5 metre contour which went all around the bay.
It is a very pretty village and harbour. Lots of water sports are provided here from a couple of the hotel resorts, but not as many as in Vassiliki.
We had a very quiet and peaceful night.
