Best Chinese Food On The Rio

The best Chinese food on the Rio Dulce is at Posada del Rio, located on the bottom floor of the Hotel of the same name in Fronteras. We were introduced to it last season by Kim & Mike s/v Ki'ami and we join them, along with Jerry & Debra, s/v Czech & Mate, for lunch today. Jerry, Mike & Debra order Lo Mein Seco Mixta Especial, Mike's favorite. I order something similar without the mixta's beef & shrimp. Kim & the other Jerry order shrimp Chow Mien. While not State-side quality, each dish is made to order (be patient & drink a beer or two..) includes lots of fresh veggies and is light on the sauce (seco = dry). Portions are generous at Q.55.
While on the topic of lunch, a couple of weeks ago with Trish & Tom, s/v Double Up, we enjoyed the Saturday (only) lunch special of Chicken Cordon Blue at Cafe de Paris. And when Charlie was in town, we lunched at Sundog one afternoon, so with today's lunch we've hit all of the RioD out-to-lunch places we've found worth a revisit on this, our final, stay.
