Has it really been 9 weeks away? Yep. And a busy 9 weeks at that!
We refurbished the Tacoma condo and listed it for sale. We completed the new NOAA / NWS VOS Program electronic precision instrument & all that goes with it; sold, manufactured & shipped the first batch. Whew, that was the biggy! I’ll continue to work on our GSA Advantage application from afar so that all of our NOAA-purchased instruments can be available on that government purchasing site for ease of future sales (OMG, that’s a process…). We started getting ready for summer by buying a new Aliner pop-up camper trailer for our planned travel eastward across the States including a stop in Oshkosh for its annual airshow (bucket list!) on our way to upper New York for our ADK week-long cycle ride with Jerry’s cousins Ron & Carol. We drove to “Ali” to Prineville OR, Ron & Carol’s ranch to store her after taking delivery; a day over & a day back. I dropped off my beloved Seven id8 road bike to be refitted for more slightly more upright, less-stress-on-the-shoulders-&-neck ride. We also starting scouting for a new home & business location in a warmer, sunnier, less congested & expensive area. No moss grows on us…! LOL
As if we’re not busy enough: I had our final two days blocked out for moving out of the condo and getting everything to the storage unit, picking up the last of the packages and mail from Seattle, doing the last of the laundry, cleaning & getting the condo staged for showings while we’re away, and so on - Jerry wakes me up early to say our flight is not Saturday midnight (Sun morning), but Friday midnight (Saturday), meaning today! That gets us moving. We need to accomplish everything in one day, not a relaxed two… And we did get it done. A long, long day but everything is squared away, clean & staged, as we depart Tacoma for our midnight flight.
Vida Dulce has gotten super dirty sitting here at Fantasy Island Marina (Roatan). Other than that, no big issues. We’re fortunate that our friends Kim & Mike, s/v Ka’imi, have been in the marina for the past couple of weeks and checked on her from time to time. TY!!
