Welcomed by a heavy downpour!
(Saturday photo) but fine & sunny for the family, welcome on board: Mike, Isabelle, Sam, Anna, Pat & Tina.
A nice little sea breeze found VIENTE entering Chichester Harbour under sail, on Thursday afternoon (May 29) at 1530 (HW-4hr) to find 4.5m on the Bar. then the Heavens opened!
Total distance sailed: Ellos-Chichester 710nm
North Sea passage:
Thyboron-Dover 442nm in 64hrs = 6.9kts
Since arriving home we have welcomed many family & friends aboard. I rather hope that we may have a few keen young sailors aboard in the future.
That's Stage One completed; to Hamble tomorrow to continue the fit out for the ocean - notably the fitting of our 'Hydrovane' vane steering gear.
