Yesterday was a lovely, cool, breezy motor sail up the St Clair River. At least by my way of thinking. Bobby was frustrated by the 2+ knots current against us. Looking at the variety of riverside homes and factories was our entertainment for the day.
We had wanted to stay at the Huron YC but as it turns out this is the weekend of the Huron-Macinack race so every place on the US side was booked solid. So we went to the Canadian side of the River and stayed at the Bridgeview Marina in Sarnia. Evening fireworks punctuated the day.
Now we just put the main up as we head on out to Lake Huron. 7 kts speed over ground (sog). It's actually quite chilly out here! On go the jackets!
