To catch up since we have been away from cell service:
Sunday
Little Tub, the diving bay right next to Tobermory
Monday
Big Tub - Tobermory - fun harbor right in town. Did some shopping, walked to Bruce National Park headquarters. Picked up Ginny and Fred. Had Fish and chips for dinner. Met Irish Harp.
Tuesday
Rattlesnake Point on Fitzwilliam island. Windy. Suddenly anchor broke loose. Bob and I were in the cockpit. We jumped into action. The-set anchor. All ok.
Wednesday
Covered Portage Bay. Anchored against stone wall. Gorgeous! Fred and Ginny hiked up one of the rocks. Met up with Irish Harp again
Thursday, Friday
"The Hole" at the end of Baie Fine fjord. Sprinkled as we anchored. Turned in to huge thunderstorm. Got very dark. We all retreated to cabins and read. Finally cleared off and was bright and sunny. Ginny and Fred went on hike.
Friday we got up and dinghied over to hike up to Topaz Lake. Gorgeous turquoise mountain lake. Came back to boat and had a great swim. Water temp was 73degrees. Georgian bay water temp is around 66 degrees. Irish Harp was here again! Really nice folks!
Saturday
Motored again to Heyward island (a native island so we couldn't go ashore) and anchored with a cast of thousands. Very nasty powerboaters. Came up and anchored right next to us. This is a huge bay and there was plenty of other places for them to go. We finally moved out of the area. All the sailboats were watching. One of the sailboats said he (the power boat) had caused trouble in another bay. Explored bay by dinghy and had several great quick swims. Water temp 70 degrees. Air temp. Hot!
