Little Current
We arrived here Saturday afternoon by making the 1:00 bridge. We sailed around a bit just to say we sailed, and there was wind. It just had been on the nose everywhere we went with Ginny and Fred. It was very dark out all day. We wandered about the very small town and had dinner at the Anchor inn.
Had a sudden, huge, rainstorm at 12:44 AM. Lasted just long enough to wake everybody up to close all the hatches and port holes. Still, everything got wet.
Ginny and Fred left early in the morning to get a taxi to get a ferry to go back to Tobermory. They were great fun on the boat and will be missed!
When we got up heavy fog blanketed the area. We went to the Cruisers Net at 9 AM upstairs at the Anchor inn which was fun to watch it live. The cruisers net is a broadcast on the marine radio which gives detailed weather, news, and emergency contact for boaters. The biggest part is where boaters call in and say where they are located. It's great fun to hear where newfound friend are now cruising.
We reprovisioned, did laundry, boat chores, and I took a long nap. Bob also talked to many boaters, and we had some visit us on our boat just as we were about to leave for another dinner at the Anchor Inn. Food is great there!
This morning is bright and sunny and we are loading up with fuel and water, then taking off for the Benjamin's. If I have to make a guess there will be no cell service for a while.
