Taya's voyages after Patagonia

After Chilean "canales" from Puerto Montt to Puerto Williams in 2019, In 2020, Taya moves up the South Atlantic Coast, from Tierra Del Fuego to Baltimore.

Hi! today's position at 12:30 is;
S 18d10m W 167d03m
Which means that we have entered a new time zone so instead of 6 hrs difference now we're 7 hrs apart. (can't wait to be going the other way ...). There is is actually the last time zone west because it goes from 165W to 180W. After that the longitudes are east. And NZ is just on the other side of the dateline

24hr run: 862-717.5=144.5nm Another good day at more than 6kts average.

This morning I spent 2.5 hrs on deck maneuvering to jibe and set the other pole on starboard. We're still wing and wing but on the other side. The pole setting protocol, or should I say the pole setting clusterfuck, is improving and another couple more adjustments and I should have it down pat.
The winds have mellowed a bit and after 12 hrs at 30 and above we're now back down to 24-26 kts. I should probably shake the 3rd reef I have but even like this we're going well.
