Al
At 3 am I shook the last reef. And At 6 am I tacked to the East, after 9 days on the same tack heading roughly SW! The wind is also pretty much gone but should fill in later. I'm back on Autopilot (it's more performant in light winds - and I put it in wind mode which steers the boat at a constant angle from the wind; so like the windpilot but ding it electronically).
It a gorgeous morning, sunshine and kinda crisp (watch cap, fleece long pants) i.e. not as humid as before. So morning coffee was out side.
The wind is filling in as I type! Course is not good (due East) but should get better over the next few hours. Actually with the wind picking up a bit it's already 10d better. It's nice to not have to hang to for dear life as you move or even sit! \ I wish you were here. You'd love this morning, I'd be fixing you breakfast as you read your museum papers in the spring sun outside.
Thanks for the Graeme connection. I'll see if the guy writes Still no sign of Tom's card but I have a couple places to look at when at the dock that I don't want to disturb now (electrical panels at the chart table). Tell him that the snide (sp?) about Australian beer was specifically aimed at him (but actually it's Foster's lager and not bad at all - remember from Oregon, we used to drink that beer; I remember Catalyn drinking the large cans of it!)
