Starboard Rudder Lost

We lost our starboard rudder which means the boat has no steerage on port tack (wind coming from port). I noticed it when I tacked early this morning and the boat could steer properly because the port rudder gets out of the water on port tack and can't steer the boat efficiently.

We are fine and we have no problem on port tack but we cannot sail heeled on port tack.

Our options are either the southern polynesian islands (Gambier island) or Puerto Mont up the Chilean coast. Puerto Mont being probably the best option because it is closer and they have repair facilities there. We are assessing the situation. I'll email you in a few hours when we have reached a decision.
