Newtown creek very crowded there were no buoys available and the marked anchorage was very busy so we anchor outside in the bay. This gave us another good opportunity to practice with our still relatively new anchor and windlass and chain. At first attempt, we anchored on the transit line into the creek; so we upped anchor and moved, judging again the correct depth and the scope of our rode. We were also pleased to avoid the harbour fees!
In the morning we waited for boats to leave from the creek. Then motored in and picked up a visitors buoy.
We spent a pleasant few days and nights lying quietly to the buoy. Some lovely sunny relaxing days.
