Wanda has left Brighton. She is now in Gosport. This is in Portsmouth harbour and is another marina operated by Premier. We are paid up with Premier this month so we will use their marinas where possible.
Where are we going? We don't know. We're on the road to nowhere, west and then south unless the gods decide otherwise.
We just took the ferry to the isle of Wight to spend a couple of days with Dinah (Philippa's mother). All familiar for Philippa, her old manor; she grew up on the island, many memories and stories triggered as we pass on the bus or boat.
A sail training ship berthed in Portsmouth. I do not know the name, but I notice she has all sails bent on, she must have a full crew aboard. What an adventure to be on passage with full sail. Working along the ratlines on the yardarms is not for the fainthearted. If you are interested in that stuff; recommended is the always inspiring, now late and great, Eric Newby's "The Last Grain Race".
