And so to bed

The last week has passed in something of a blur as we have put the boat to bed and sought to balance this with some more fun things to do in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

Journey's end

When we last completed a blog, we were looking for some wind to get some respite from the mirror flat seas we were experiencing. We found it!

We are on our way

30 December 2018 | Puerto Calero

Position 27.57.8N; 14.46.5W We are on our way At 1600 yesterday afternoon we slipped out of Puerto Calero, wishing fond farewells to the Maltby's on Freebird and with grateful thanks to the Berrys.

After all the previous excitement about our full gas bottle - it was not to be. Skipper had forgotten that boatyards generally seem to take friday afternoons off and the likelihood of anyone being willing to unlock the yard before Monday morning was nil. In stepped Chris Berry and gave us theirs (it is blue)and they will retrieve our bottle in due course.

After a busy morning shopping (where have we put it all?), Nick returned to the airport to collect his luggage. Maybe the airport staff thought twice about the bag after having a try of the delicious cake in there.

Now sailing along to West of Fuerteventura - light airs of about 5k and motor sailing. Green flash before supper last night was pretty magical - but subsequent rain less so!

All well and happy.
