And so to bed

The last week has passed in something of a blur as we have put the boat to bed and sought to balance this with some more fun things to do in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

Journey's end

When we last completed a blog, we were looking for some wind to get some respite from the mirror flat seas we were experiencing. We found it!

Tattoos for salty sea dogs

We're currently bowling along with the spinnaker up at 6.5 knots with the Marquesas getting ever closer, less than 600 miles to go. Much thought has recently been given to a suitable way to mark our arrival in these islands after such a long ocean passage. Apparently the Polynesians are famous for their tattooing skills and the choice appears to be between a seahorse or a flying fish. The debate about exactly where each crew member will put their tattoo rambles on. Lethergy has descended upon the boat this afternoon, the sun is hot, the chocolate refrigerator cake is delicious and there doesn't seem to be much else to do except eat it as we wait for Listen with Norm and beer o'clock.
