Running under Spinnaker
24 May 2014 | Mid Atlantic
Things are definitely looking up! Karel cooked a delicious pork and cream and porchini on pasta dish for dinner last night. We had a good nights run reaching under full main and genoa, and this morning we raised the big spinnaker on a broad reach and have been going 7 to 8 knots all day.
We just passed a cruising catamaran which left St. Martin 3 days before us.
The sun is out again and the world is looking rosey! Tonight before it gets dark we will change back to the Genoa, but we should still be making good time. According to our weather info we are skirting around the northern edge of an anticyclone (or area of high pressure) which should give us a continuing following breeze and settled weather.
Crew definitely feeling better with Miles acting chef tonight cooking a Chilli con Carni under the watchful direction of Daddy Karel who is documenting the whole process on video.
