Wishing For The Moon

Now on shore on the island of Elba for last couple of years, and works going on October 2019 up to March 23 with engine replacement, plumbing, hull works etc, but locked out due to the virus thing here in Italy, and new engine blocked in the UK still.

Ghosting and Motoring

At 0300hrs the engine went on as the wind dies off. No hope now of getting in to Punta Delgada tomorrow evening now in these light airs. We ghosted along under spinnaker all afternoon but what breeze there was died off at sunset, so now its motoring along again, and our ETA is now Wednesday morning around 8 am.

The air is a little less humid and a little warmer, and the sky mainly clear. Saw a big whale 100 yards aft of us, and some dolphins. We stopped at midday for another swim in the ocean. No exciting sea creatures around at that point much to Miles' disgust.

We continue to feed ourselves well, with spaghetti bolognaise last night ant steak and mash tonight. Not too much hardship here other than sunburn and eye strain from too much reading.
