Getting organized

08 January 2014 | Green Cove Springs, Florida
The last 2 days we have been cleaning inside and out. We got the mainsail out, up and covered. The solar panel is up and connected, also the antenna is up and we have TV. We put the dodger up and the center piece. Inside the dishes are all washed and put away. A bit more organized and a few more things put away. It is below freezing so we have all the blankets on the bed and the heater is running all the time. It is only 45 for a high and two nights below freezing, in the 50s Wed and 60s Thursday. We head to St. Augustine to shop at Sailors Exchange and drop the center console cover off at the canvas place for a new zipper and some stitching. We then head to Jacksonville and Costco for some supplies before heading back to the boat. Wednesday we head to Palatka to see about a license for the sailboat. We already have one for the dingy. We hope this will make it easier to travel around Florida, possibly no checking in. We will see how this works. We also got a steadying sail delivered here and hope it will stop us from swinging so much on anchor. We will see once we are in the water. It may be a while. On Saturday Rick the mechanic will be checking out the motor to see why we overheat sometimes. At least it is warming up.
