Still on Shore
18 January 2014 | Green Cove Springs
We have three coats of bottom paint on. We finished the last yesterday. We had to get Tracy to move the boat stands so we could do under where they sat. We also put some black marker on the prop. Someone said that would keep growth off, so we will try. We made a new screen for the companionway, a couple of tries before I got it right.
David decided to make the thru hull for water intake larger and the guy came over and enlarged the hole. It is now finished and bottom painted. We are now stocking the boat and getting ready to go in. It has been cold here at night. Down around freezing. It warms up some through the day into the 60's. If we go in then we won't be plugged in and can't use the heater. Hopefully next week it will warm up more. Right now we are on the list to go in on Tuesday morning at 8:00. Maybe those "Canadians" will keep their cold fronts home.
Not much else going on, just puttering and shopping for supplies. Mostly done but we are working on our last minute list and plan to finish it Monday. We will let you know how we make out and our plans once we leave. All depends on the weather and tides.
Hope you are all enjoying your weather we hear it is sometimes warmer than ours.
