Waiting

09 April 2014 | Green Cove Springs
We were at Metropolitan Park for one night. We had planned on a couple but we find out both of the lift bridges have problems. The Main St needs two hour notice to open, and the RR is iffy about opening. We called to go through the Main at 8:30 in the morning. While waiting we hear that the RR is opening, so we call and ask if they can stay open till we get through, there are 3 of us. We get through both even though the current is strong against us. They tell the next person to call that they won't open till noon. We motor along and watch the planes at the naval base practice landing and taking off. We put the sails up so they can dry, we will take them down when we arrive.
We tie up to the dock and go in to see the car. There is nothing left except a frame. It is hard to look at it. We go back to the boat and get the sails down. We get a few things done before we come out tomorrow. We visit with Browns before heading to bed.
Saturday and we are hauled out and in the work yard. Now waiting to see how things turn out
