Enjoying our week here
26 March 2015 | St Augustine
We get up on our first morning here and relax on the boat till mid morning. We come in and pay for our week here. We ask if we can move sometime to the north field and they think we can move to one later today when a boat moves out. Later on the boat we get a call to say the other boat is staying longer, but if we want we can move to a mooring a lot closer to the docks in the south field. So we move up and it just a short trip to the dock. Lots to see here. We head into town and walk over to where the bridge crossed the other river. On the way back we stop for some pizza and bring it back to the boat. We sit out and watch the shore where you can see people walking, the trolleys go by and a few horse and carriage. In the water are dolphin chasing fish and lots of birds in the mud flats during low tide. A great evening sitting out. We are also near the bridge and watch it lifting and boats coming through. The last two mornings we have watched the coast guard and border patrol boats racing by practicing chases. Looks like rain for a couple of days so not sure how much we will be getting out. We are here until the 31st. There is a regatta here the29th.
