Sorry for your weather

10 February 2017
I will start off by saying how sorry I am to hear about the weather back home. We had wind here but certainly not the snow. I know you are all digging out this morning.
Here this week we had some rain the other night with thunder and lightning. The rest of the week has been the usual Florida weather. Some wind and waves, getting a bit wet coming in to the dock in the dingy but you dry off quickly. We have just been doing our regular stuff, walking, getting a few groceries. Just came back from Walmart on the marina bus. Purchased a filter we can hook up to a hose for filling our water jugs.
As I am sitting here I am looking down from the deck at the dingy dock and a manatee is swimming around the dingys. We have seen a few dolphins here but the first time we have seen manatee. The water here is so much cleaner than it was last year.
We are thinking about leaving here in around a week and heading west to Fort Myers Beach. Will let you know when we plan to head out. There is a brunch here Sunday put on by the marina. This is such a great place they really take care of the boaters and make you feel welcome.
Hope you get shoveled out soon.
