There's a bloody hole in our boat !

As you can see from the picture we thought with only a short time before we are due to leave that we would put two bloody great holes in the hull....oh the joys of fitting a bow thruster. I have been assured that it will all be worth the effort, mess, fuss and expense. Well I hope so.......
Finns cabin now has no floor, because in trying to carefully lift up and remove the old one to get to the hull to fit the tube, the teak floor splintered into a million bits. Great - replacing the floor - another job. There is dust everywhere even with manic hoovering. Everything had to be removed from Finns cabin (forepeak) and the middle cabin - this lot has been dumped in the dinette and our cabin. The boat looks like it has been burgled but nothing has been taken, stuff has just been dumped. Luckily my lovely parents have provided us with shelter - come to think of it we didn't ask, we just sort of moved in ! Sorry mum and dad X
So apart from painting the hull white (we've done the sanding), replacing the cutlass bearing on a propshaft that won't come out, antifouling, making a new floor and a million other jobs we're meant to be going in two weeks...but it might be three !
