On foreign soil.....

Its been a while since we've had wifi so there's a good bit to report. On our last day in Brighton as Finn was being dragged away from his rod for bed, he had just another 5 mins of fishing and landed his first catch ! Not to take anything away from Fisherman Dann but I don't think we'll be able to rely on him to provide us with dinner on a regular basis ! It was a 3" shad .....
After leaving Brighton - we did an overnighter to Cherbourg where we met up with an old friend, Bill the skipper of the 'Queen Galadriel' a big old wooden baltic trader. After a night in Cherbourg and a few hours ashore to stock up on chocolate and birthday cake for Aid we went in company with Bill and his crew to Braye in Alderney. We've now spent a couple of very uncomfortable nights at anchor rolling in the swell but the island is very pretty and welcoming. Off to explore now then tomorrow we're off to Jersey.......
