The day after

15 June 2011 | Elløs
William
First morning in our new boat. There is nothing to complain about so far (except for the missing ten or so feet of course): Hot water, heater in saloon, shower, gas stove for coffee, eggs and so on, new on the radio - just like home really.
The day offered a lot of work: putting everything in place and buying all the small things that was forgotten (in spite of six months planning). One problem was how to get all the things down to the boat? Actually, the yard offered small trolleys to handle that worry. It is evident they have been around for some time!
The harbour area bristled with sailors: some were preparing round the world adventure, others picked up their new boats like ourselves, while some just came in to stay at the marina. Lots of friendly and interesting people, offering all kinds of advice and observations. It will not be easy to leave this place!
