Bergen - Oslo

16 January 2015 | Bergen
William
August 4th my wife and me left for Oslo in our own HR342 Mystery. We had decided that we needed a slightly larger boat and better suited for long cruises. An opportunity appeared for us to trade in our 342 for a 2011 HR37. I have wanted this model for many years so I felt I had to accept the offer. The 37's home port was Oslo, so we had to prepare for some serious cruising with just some days preparation.

We started off in beautiful summer weather, although the wind was head on (where it stayed for almost the whole week to Oslo). The cruise was memorable, and the small ship performed eminently. The 342 is bred for coastal hopping and that showed. But we had a lot of weather!
