Another picture of water and land. But if you have x-ray vision, you can see the atlantic behind the land
Another 23 miles today
We had a lumpy anchorage last night as we decided to push a little further than planned and did not research the spot well enough. Too close to the ICW, also we had planned to get a little buffer but after the longer day, intensity and traffic of the fort pierce inlet area we were not up for extended explorations in very shallow water. But things got quiet after dark and we had no problems with wind or wakes after dark. But, boy they did not waste any time getting started this morning. Literally at the crack of dawn!
So this make our fourth day since external human contact. So far so good. Only 24 more days to be sure! But then what???
God, what a strange time we are in.
We probably can not be totally self-contained / self-sufficient for 28 days. At least not if we want to keep moving. If we keep moving diesel is the first thing we will run out of, then water, then food. If not for the diesel we could probably stretch to a month id we severely rationed water.
We planned to stay at anchor here for at least a day and maybe two to really figure out what we can and can not do as well as what we "should " do.
Sara has been driving the boat more and more and at present we are pretty much splitting the driving. She is taking it under fixed bridges and through traffic zones. This really helps as we can get breaks, check the route ahead, prepare food etc.
Well lets see how tonight goes. So fare only one wake and that was barely noticeable, protection from 3 sides and 10 to one scope in sand. Should sleep like baby tonight.
