Wind Magic

Turtle at Shroud Cay

Feb 15 Cambridge Cay Snorkled for 1.5 hrs drift snorkel on a reef in the ‘cut’ between the islands leading from the ocean. This is a ‘drift’ snorkel because you don’t anchor, just grab the bow line of the dinghy and jump overboard and then hang on as the current pulls you down the reef (or the wind blows the dinghy down the reef, in our case)

Feb 16 Cambridge Cay beach in am, swim, walk over south side of island to ocean/cut beach. Should come back here and snorkel! Then up anchor at noon and sail to Shroud Cay

Feb 17 Shroud Cay. Lots of little Mangrove Canals go from one side of this island to the other. It’s OK to dinghy in all of them, as long as you keep speed below 3 mph the park ranger told us. We took the north windy canal, full of turtles. At then end of it there is a beautiful ocean beach! Mark is a little dot out in the water swimming next post.
