In the mean time we sailed this week through the Levkas canal 10 miles south of Preveza and arrived in Vliho bay where we anchored now for last couple of days and experienced a bit of a blow up to 25 knots or maybe more,who knows. As this bay is surrounded by mountains there is kabatic winds and violent wind shifts. But the 25 Kg vulcan anchored and 40 meter of chain in 7 meter hold us in one place. Next day we had a nice dinner in Elena’s Taverna where you motor up to the restaurant and the staff help you get out of dinghy as elegant as possible and tie your dinghy up to your table ,well almost…
Yesterday we rented a yamaha xt 600 motor bike (My first bike was a XT550 some 35 years ago)and toured levkas island to get a different prespective then from a boat. The beaches on the west are stunning lightblue. We visited a waterfall which was nice but probably best to visit in spring when the water is really gushing.
Today we will continue exploration but with windraker to Meganisi or maybe futher if wind allows.
