PlanetSolar Visits Boston
Earlier this year we were fortunate to visit onboard the PlanetSolar boat when she called in Boston. She is the first boat to circumnavigate entirely solar powered with electric engines.

Hard Day for the Wind Generator

We have moved around Guadeloupe to Deshaies (prounounced Day-Yay), a gorgeous little town near the northwest corner of Guadeloupe. We are tucked snuggly into the anchorage, but the winds today were very strong. After a very hard day making loads of power for us, we heard a loud boom and raced up to see that our poor wind generator had lost two of its blades. Gone, disappeared, no trace left, just, gone. This means we will have to run our generator to make power until we can get new blades, hopefully in St. Martin.
