Cassi went on the return trip home yesterday. We packed, checked the tickets and headed out in our rental car to the airport. Of course, when we got there no one had remembered to get the passport. After a frantic drive back to the boat and back to the airport, she made it just in time!
We spent several nights at sea making our way to Magdalena Bay, one of our favorite locations. We spent a couple nights in noisy Cabo San Lucas and had the best chicken mole we ever tasted in a back street restaurant named Tres Gallos. Sailed on for 4 hours to San Jose Del Cabo where we wait for a weather window to Isla Isabella, the island of the blue footed boobies. The city of San Jose Del Cabo has become more cosmopolitan and hosts art walks and wine tasting with some first class art exhibits. The marina also has an art walk with sculptures and paintings done by Leonora Carrington, a surrealist.
We're packing, packing and more packing for the next day. Departure date is scheduled for Monday, December 19th. We've learned sail mail, sea map, grib files and sat phone thanks to our pal, Bill Crew, Commodore of the Ventura Yacht Club.
