Windshadow Great Lakes Adventure

Dry Land and a new family member

09 August 2015
It has been a while since I posted. We made it to Ludington and spent one night there, then motored from Ludington to Muskegon. We arrived in Muskegon on July 22 and went home, saw our Grand Haven family, then departed for Minnesota at the 'butt crack of dawn' on July 26. Little Benjamin is a dear. We helped Laurel and Brad with the 'early morning' hours so they could sleep in. We spent almost two weeks there helping out, and of course, rocking and holding Ben. We left Thursday morning, Aug, 6 and went through the U.P. of Michigan. We met some friends for lunch in Duluth and saw a dear friend in Shelter Bay for breakfast the next day. We have been enjoying our family here, but the adventure continues.
Today, we take our oldest Grandson, Nolan, out on the boat for a trip. We are hoping to make it to South Manitou Island. Nolan is looking forward to wandering around the island. If we don't make it, it is not the end of the world as Nolan and I will fish and hopefully swim when we can. As always, the weather will dictate where we can get and when we can get there. The picture is of Ben, the reason we cut short our adventure. He was well worth it!
