The fuel leak repair turned out to be a non-event. I tightened a few hose clamps, turned on the fuel, and away she went. Conni tried the propeller by putting the transmission in gear and it smoothly pushed water around. We're set to go tomorrow.

We took a tour of town this afternoon and it was well worth the effort. Wrangell was the heart of the Tlingit nation and there are many vestiges of those times still in existence. We visited Chief Shakes' island with its totem and tribal home. We walked a few miles out of town to the petroglyph beach: haunting visions into the minds of people long gone who lived in a very different world. We have pictures on the site.

There is an excellent museum here that features the history of the immediate area. If you happen to be in the area, it's not something to miss.

They also have a wonderful library here: all supported by the community. The librarian, Kay, loaned her name to free wifi.

It's raining again, of course, but we're ready to go in the morning. The plan is to do down Zemovia Strait, then anchor in one of a few locations: Santa Anna Inlet or Vixon Cove, or Myers Chuck if we're making good time. The next day, we plan on being in Knutsen Cove/Clover Point. We'll visit our old neighbors, Bill and Kathleen. They've been friends a long time and we'll enjoy their hospitality for a few days.
